Net metering allows you to export excess solar electricity to your utility company (IESCO, LESCO, etc.) and receive credits on your bill.
How Net Metering Works
- Your solar panels generate electricity
- You use what you need
- Excess power flows back to the grid
- Bi-directional meter tracks both import and export
- You pay only for net consumption
- If you export more than import, credits roll over
